School Bills

Queen Victoria School (QVS) is tasked by the Ministry of Defence with providing especially for those families who could not otherwise afford boarding education.

Tuition, boarding, ceremonial uniform, books and many other costs are met by the Ministry of Defence. There are no fees, but a parental charge is levied to cover aspects of school life that any child being educated would incur. In cases of need, SSAFA or other charities can be approached for help.

QVS School Bills are issued termly, usually about 2 weeks before the start of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.  The standard bill is currently around £440 each term (2017/2018 rates). Parents are required to settle the whole amount at the start of each term, preferably via internet banking. Alternative methods of payment are currently being considered.

In addition, there are extra costs for which parents should also budget – for instance music tuition – as well as termly pocket money (approximately £150 each term for junior years).
