Early end to classes, Friday 19th Jan
Due to the weather conditions and difficulties with onward travel for staff, most classes ended at the beginning of lunchtime today (there will be a Higher Business class running from 14:45 until 16:25 for those involved). Pupils will return to boarding houses after lunch and early tea has been arranged for 5pm this evening to enable catering staff to get away early.
If you are planning to travel to Dunblane to pick up your child/children, caution is advised. Minor roads are passable with care. Please be aware that the drive up to the main building can be extremely tricky in this weather – you may want to park near the bottom of the drive and walk to the relevant boarding house to collect your child (depending on the age of the child).
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions .
AMAZING FUNDRAISING EFFORT
On Friday 19th January, the whole school witnessed an amazing charity event. In front of a cheering audience, Anjipa Malla (S5), shed all 36 inches of her shiny locks to raise money for the charity Sentebale. Anjipa is hopeful of raising £755 for the charity. We are so proud of her for taking part in such a selfless act for such a great cause.
What is Sentebale?
Sentebale supports orphans and vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa, many of whom are affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Through education, psychosocial support and care, they are given the tools needed to lead happy healthy and productive lives.
You can support Anjipa and help her to reach her fundraising target by making a donation via the link below:
